The third annual SeaSwell Peninsula Charity Walk is shaping up to be another great event. Like the past two years, there will be a 20km walk from Cape Schanck to Blairgowrie and a 10km walk from Rye Back Beach to Blairgowrie. This stunning walk is well worth it and the atmosphere on the day vibrant.

The SeaSwell Peninsula Charity Walk is focused on Mental Health this year and all the money raised will go towards Headspace.

'Headspace Frankston is very excited to be involved in the 2015 SeaSwell Charity Walk.  The southern peninsula region has been identified as a priority area for us, as it is home to a large population of young people and elevated levels of mental health issues.  We currently run limited services from the YLounge on an outreach basis.  All donations raised by the SeaSwell Charity Walk will be used to directly increase our capacity in the region, allowing young people increased and more timely access to services, programs and groups in their area. There is a definite need for further funding for mental health on the Southern Mornington Peninsula so this is the area that we will focus our efforts on this year'.

Upon registration, you can book a seat on the bus and you will receive an email with further details about the day. Transport on the bus from the Blairgowrie Shopping Precinct to the start line is free of charge but bookings are essential as seats are limited.

Bibs will be available for collection from Blairgowrie Cafe on Saturday 2 May from 8am or on the morning of the walk from 6am on the grassy area at the Blairgowrie Shopping Precinct.

A presentation will be held at the finish line in the main shopping precinct of Blairgowrie where food, beverages, massage treatments & fun activities for the family will be on offer.

This year we have introduced an early bird special for our loyal walkers who want to get in early. It is $50 up until Friday 17 April and $55 if you book after this date. Online registrations will close on Friday 1 May but there will be a registration desk at Blairgowrie Shopping Precinct from 8am - 4pm on Saturday and from 6am on Sunday morning if it is not booked out already.

Information for for registrants

At least 10km of the 20km walk is on sand so we recommend that you start walking on sand to prepare for the walk. Please wear BRIGHT GREEN to show your support of Mental Health...even if it's just a wrist band! There will be a prize for the best dressed again this year.

*IMPORTANT: There are no dogs allowed on the walk due to Parks Victoria regulations.
